The Jackson girls track and field team outpointed Central 142-138 for the championship in the Poplar Bluff Invitational on Friday night.
The Central boys finished fourth behind the Perryville Pirates (whose results were published in Saturday's edition).
The Central 400-meter relay team set a school record in 43.26 seconds.
The Jackson boys finished ninth in the nine-team field.

Central's seventh-grade girls were fourth among nine squads with 77 points. Jackson won with 123.
Central's eighth-grade boys also won their division, finishing with 117 points.
In the seventh-grade boys division, Jackson won with Central finishing fourth.
