JACKSON -- Jackson, ranked No. 1 in Missouri Class 4A, disposed of SEMO Conference adversary Sikeston in commanding fashion Monday night.

The Lady Indians' 55-15 victory improved their record to 16-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play. Jackson held an 18-4 bulge in the first quarter and stretched its lead to 30-8 by halftime.

Jackson's Dana Littlepage finished with a game-high 10 points. Andrea Koeper and Melissa Palmer each added nine, and Cherish Tillman had eight.

Cape Central 57, New Madrid Co. 43

NEW MADRID -- Central rode a quick start to a win over New Madrid County Central.

On the strength of turnover-inducing pressure, Central (15-5) led 20-9 after one quarter and 34-19 at halftime.

"Our early start was probably the key," Central coach Darrick Smith said. "We forced a bunch of turnovers and we converted them."

Central center Katie Dougherty scored 16 points and Dionna Webb and Kim Aslinger each added 11.

Kelly 63, Charleston 56

CHARLESTON -- Kelly trailed by 16 in the third quarter but rallied to beat Charleston. Trailing 33-22 at halftime, the Lady Hawks outscored turnover-prone Charleston 41-23 in the second half.

Kelly moved to 15-6. The Lady Hawks were led in scoring by Marissa Essner's 28 points; Bridgette Riley added 20.

For Charleston, Sherida Frierson had 15 points, Tara Hall 12 and Amy Simmons 10.

Festus 53, St. Vincent 42

PERRYVILLE -- St. Vincent dropped to 4-15 overall and 1-8 in the Jefferson County Conference's small schools division with its loss to Festus.

St. Vincent led 13-11 after one quarter but was outscored 42-29 from there.

Stephanie Schremp scored a game-high 17 point for St. Vincent.

Scott City 35, Delta 23

DELTA -- Scott City's Crystal Smith scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the Lady Rams defeated host Delta.

Alaina Smith totaled a team-high 14 points for Scott City, which improved to 10-8. The Lady Rams carried a 13-11 lead into the second quarter before outscoring Delta 11-4 in that period.

Amanda Cook's 15 points led Delta.

Perryville 71, St. Pius 50

PERRYVILLE -- Perryville jumped to 8-0 in the Jefferson County Conference's large schools division and 12-8 overall with its triumph over St. Pius.

For Perryville, Amy Verseman had 20 points, Tiffany Perkins 14 and Jeni Blevins 10.

Perryville led 39-23 at the half.

Boys basketball

Advance 66, Oak Ridge 51

ADVANCE -- Four Hornets scored at least 13 points as Advance improved to 11-10 with its victory over Oak Ridge.

Seth Cantrell paced Advance with 15 points, and Adam Rainey, Daniel Turner and Garrett Broshuis each added 13.

Darren Hahs led Oak Ridge with 17 points.

Marquand 81, Chaffee 60

CHAFFEE -- Marquand's Dusty Stephens had 33 points and 19 rebounds as the Tigers beat Chaffee.

Marquand trailed 39-37 at halftime before taking control of the game in the third quarter. Steve Braswell added 18 points for the Tigers.

For Chaffee, Andy Proffer had 19 points and Matt Stroup contributed 18.
