Jackson's girls basketball team got off to a fast start Monday night against Perryville, outscoring the Pirates 24-8 in the first quarter en route to a 63-32 home victory.

Jennifer Ferrell led Jackson (5-1) with 13 points and Ashley Bartels added 10. Jackson spread out the scoring as 11 Indians scored in the game.

Perryville (3-1) trailed 38-19 at halftime. The Pirates managed just two points in the third quarter.

April Lorenz led Perryville with 14 points.
