Jay Hutchison belted a three-run home run and drove in five RBIs as the Jackson Freshman Junior Legion stayed alive in the state tournament with a 12-0, five-inning win over Springfield Glendale on Friday in Washington, Missouri.

Hutchison also had a double for Jackson (31-6), which advanced to an evening game against the winner of St. Charles and Creve Couer.

Braeden Dobbs added four hits, and Colten Webber and Quentin Kent each had two hits. All three players had a double.

Webber struck out 10 batters over four innings for the win. He allowed two hits and walked five. Ryan Wilthong pitched one hitless inning of relief.
