Jackson's offense scored on six of its seven first-half possessions and the Indian defense posted its second consecutive shutout in a 55-0 rout of Class 6 Seckman on Friday night at the Pit in Jackson.

Jackson, ranked seventh in Class 5, improved to 7-1. Seckman fell to 1-7.

Xominique Davis hauled in a 29-yard touchdown pass from Dante Vandeven on the Indians' first possession with 8 minutes, 16 seconds left in the first quarter. The Indians recovered the ensuing squib kick and need just one play, a 33-yard run by Vandeven, to run the advantage to 14-0 at the 8:04 mark.

The Indians were stopped on downs on their next series but scored on their final four possessions of the first half for a 41-0 lead.

Ben Maudie hauled in a 12-yard pass from Vandeven, and Ethan Isaksen sandwiched a pair of 6-yard TD runs around an 8-yard scoring run by Vandeven.

The entire second half was played with a running clock.

The Indians rolled to 419 yards of offense on the game, while Seckman was limited to 77 yards.

Jackson will host unbeaten Miller Career Academy next week.
