The Jackson boys basketball team overcame a 13-point, second-half deficit Friday night to defeat Central 58-54 in overtime to reach the championship game of the Farmington tournament.
Jackson, which improved to 2-0, will try to defend its tournament title today at 7:30 p.m. when it faces Salem in the championship game.
Jackson trailed by 10 points at halftime and still trailed 51-46 with about a minute left in regulation. The Indians pulled even, 51-51, on a 3-pointer by Kyle Keith and a pair of free throws by Marcus Harris with 25 seconds left. Both teams missed 3-pointers in the final seconds.
In the opening minute of overtime, Jackson took its first lead since the first quarter, 53-51, when Antonio Garritano scored from close range.
Jajuan Bell, who scored a game-high 29 points, countered with three free throws to give Central its final lead, 54-53, and final points.
Jackson went ahead for good on a pair of free throws from Garritano, who finished with 12 points. Jake Leet led Jackson with 13 points and Spencer Goodman added 11.
Anthony Watts scored 11 points for Central.

Woodland tournament
Top-seeded Saxony Lutheran built a 17-point lead by halftime and rolled past No. 3 Meadow Heights in the championship game.
Zach Bohnert scored a game-high 19 points for Saxony, while Max Wieser netted 16 points, Bret Steffens tallied 13 and Austin Kwikkel had 11.
Tyler Wagner paced Meadow Heights with 10 points.
Leopold won the third-place game behind 29 points from Darren VanGennip. Larry Nussbaum added 13 points and Dustin Thiele and Cody Van De Ven each finished with 11.
Justin Lemons and Jeremy Rogers led Zalma with 12 points apiece, and Colton Bailey and Nick Smith both netted 10 points.
Woodland beat Perryville to grab fifth place.
Kyle Reynolds poured in 15 points and Adam Cureton added 12 points for Woodland.
Brent Roth scored a game-high 17 points for Perryville.
