Southeast Missouri State women's basketball coach John Ishee announced that five players signed National Letters of Intent during the early signing period, which began Wednesday.
The Redhawks signed two guards and three forwards.
Shelah Fields is a 5-foot-6 point guard from Riverview Gardens in St. Louis. She averaged 16.3 points, 3.9 assists and 2.8 steals per game last season.
Brittany Harriel is a 6-1 forward from Lakota West High School in Cincinnati. She averaged 3.3 points and 1.7 rebounds while splitting time between the varsity and junior varsity teams last season.
Jasmine Lewis is a 5-10 guard from Fulton High School in Knoxville, Tenn. She averaged 17.6 points and 6.0 rebounds per game last season.
Shanece Miller is 6-1 post player from Anderson Senior High School in Cincinnati. She averaged 11.3 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 blocks per game last season.
Ballie Roberts is a 5-11 forward from Maryville High School in Maryville, Tenn. She averaged 17.0 points and 7.8 rebounds per game last season.
The Redhawks have two scholarships remaining.
Central's Zickfield signs
Central volleyball standout Wendi Zickfield signed her letter of intent to play next season at Murray State.
The 6-foot-2 senior missed part of this season with an injury, but returned to help the Tigers go 13-17-2.
Gymnastics adds three
Southeast gymnastics coach Tom Farden announced three signing in a release.
Margaret O'Neal is a native of Highlands Ranch, Colo. Her mother, Rebecca O'Neal is a Southeast alumnae.
"Margaret is an aggressive gymnast who will add depth and explosiveness to vault, bars and floor," Farden said in a release.
Taylor Westrick is a native of Waterford, Wis.
"Taylor has the polished and personal flair that will please judges and fans alike," Farden said in a release. "We are looking forward to her working into our rotation on bars, beam and floor."
The final signing was Jordan Salsberg, a native of Gulfport, Miss.
"Jordan is an incredibly talented gymnast and a proven national champion," Farden said in a release. "She has the ability to make immediate impacts on all four events."
