The St. Vincent football team scored 21 points in the fourth quarter and pounded visiting Grandview 35-0 Friday night in the Mississippi Area Football Conference Blue Division opener for the Indians.
The Indians (2-2) led 14-0 at halftime and added in three more touchdowns in the final 12 minutes.
Chris Fischer recovered a Grandview fumble in the end zone for St. Vincent's first touchdown in the first quarter.
With less than 8 minutes remaining the half, Lucas Robinson capped a three-play, 33-yard drive with a 10-yard touchdown run.
Daniel Ochs recovered a fumble on Grandview's 6-yard line at the beginning of the fourth quarter, and Waylon Richardet scored three plays later on a 1-yard run.
The Indians recovered on onside kick at Grandview's 37 on the ensuing kickoff, and Dustin Winkler ran 37 yards on the next play for a touchdown.
Winkler added another score with about 9 minutes remaining on a 44-yard run.
Winkler finished with 114 yards on nine carries.
Lucas Robinson kicked five extra points for the Indians.
Perryville remained winless with a home loss to state-ranked Ste. Genevieve.
The Pirates (0-4) trailed 34-0 at halftime before scoring two second-half touchdowns on the Dragons, ranked third in the latest Class 3 poll.
In the third quarter, Perryville quarterback Ryan Schilling connected with Ryan Regelsperger on a 64-yard touchdown pass.
Schilling hit Regelsperger for another long pass in the fourth quarter to set up the Pirates on the 1-yard line before Schilling ran it in.
Regelsperger had three catches for 113 yards for Perryville, while Schilling was 6-for-10 passing for 126 yards. He tossed two interceptions. Travis Brown was the Pirates' leading rusher, compiling 42 yards on 10 carries.
