JACKSON, Mo. -- The Jackson Indians gave one of the top basketball teams in the state a scare before fading late in the game Saturday.
Columbia Hickman, 12-2 and ranked sixth in Class 4A, needed a big fourth quarter to get out of town with a 52-47 come-from-behind win.
"They came out with a press in that last quarter that bothered us," said Jackson coach Mike Kiehne, whose Indians (8-7) held a slight lead with about two minutes to go.
Seth McDowell led the Jackson effort with a game-high 17 points, including five 3-pointers and 12 rebounds. Lance Bollinger added 10 points.
RED BUD 43, PERRYVILLE 39
CHESTER, Ill. -- Red Bud rallied to win in the championship game of the round-robin Chester Invitational.
Perryville (10-4) jumped to a 21-13 halftime lead. The Pirates were outscored 19-11 in the fourth quarter. Chad Ozark led the Pirates with 11 points.
KELLY 91, CHAFFEE 70
BENTON, Mo. -- Kelly, winning its second straight to go to 3-9, got 20-plus scoring from three players: Barry Ziegler (25), Major Burger (21) and Tyler Schlosser (21).
Chase Eskew scored 22 points for Chaffee (2-10), which sank 12 3-pointers.
LIFE CHRIST. 45, EAGLE RDG. 34
ST. LOUIS -- Eagle Ridge (7-6) stayed close for three quarters, but Life Christian pulled away. Mike Probst with 13 points and Andrew Mellies with 11 led the Eagles.

MORLEY, Mo. -- Second-seed Kelly (11-2) pulled off the mild upset with a 39-38 squeaker over top-seed Charleston (10-2) to claim the tournament crown.
Kelly, playing most of the contest without injured leading-scorer Bridgett Riley, was led by Dana Essner and Christy Kluesner with 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Missy Whitney topped Charleston with 20.
LIFE CHRISTIAN 60, EAGLE RIDGE 30
ST. LOUIS -- Eagle Ridge (9-3) had no answer for bigger-school opponent Life Christian.
