CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- Southeast Missouri State University's Tom Breuer made the first team while Indian players Rusty Curran and Lamonte Collier earned second-team honors on the all-Ohio Valley Conference baseball squads that were announced over the weekend.

Breuer, a senior, made the all-OVC squad as a utility player. The Kirksville native has seen action at third base, first base and designated hitter for the Indians this season.

Breuer, who belted two home runs during Saturday's OVC Tournament win over Morehead State, holds school career records for games played (186), hits (182), doubles (41) and at-bats (587).

Also an all-OVC selection last year, Breuer entered the OVC tourney with a .280 batting average. He has seven homers and 44 RBIs.

"Tom has had a tremendous career at Southeast," said Indian coach Mark Hogan.

Curran, a shortstop, and Collier, an outfielder, have both had impressive junior seasons after transferring from Jefferson College in Hillsboro.

Curran entered the OVC tourney with a team-leading .373 average while Collier was batting .315 -- second-best on the squad -- with six homers and 33 RBIs.

Two Southeast players, first baseman Shawn Clark and pitcher Jason Swearingen, made the honorable-mention list.

Clark leads the Indians in home runs (12) and RBIs (46) while Swearingen tops the pitching staff with a 7-2 record and a 3.99 ERA.

Austin Peay, which won the OVC regular-season title, placed five players on the first team, including Player of the Year Nate Manning and Pitcher of the Year Craig Smith.

Tennessee Tech's David Mays is the Coach of the Year.

The OVC selections were made in voting by the league's head coaches and sports information directors.
