CALGARY, Alberta -- Calgary captain Jarome Iginla scored twice and had a spirited fight in the Flames' 3-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Thursday night.

Shean Donovan also had a goal to help the Flames move into first place in the Northwest Division, a point ahead of Colorado.

Lee Stempniak scored for St. Louis, which lost in regulation for the first time in seven games.

Donovan opened the scoring in the first period, and Iginla made it 2-0 on a power play 28 seconds into the second. Curtis Sanford stopped Mike Leclerc from in close, but Iginla shoveled in the rebound for his 26th goal of the season.

Stempniak ended Miikka Kiprusoff's shutout bid with 6:13 left in the third, and Iginla completed the scoring with an empty-net goal.

In between his goals, Iginla fought Blues defenseman Barret Jackman.
