EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Lucious Harris was 10-for-11 from the field and scored 24 points Tuesday night as New Jersey overcame foul trouble and a subpar performance from Jason Kidd to beat Charlotte 102-88. Harris had a personal 6-0 run after the Hornets pulled within three points with 5 1/2 minutes left. EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Lucious Harris was 10-for-11 from the field and scored 24 points Tuesday night as New Jersey overcame foul trouble and a subpar performance from Jason Kidd to beat Charlotte 102-88.

Harris had a personal 6-0 run after the Hornets pulled within three points with 5 1/2 minutes left. New Jersey closed the game with a 16-5 run to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinals.

Keith Van Horn added 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Nets.

Kidd missed nine consecutive shots at one point and finished 5-for-18 from the field with 11 points, six assists and three rebounds.

Charlotte's Baron Davis had 21 points, seven assists and five rebounds, but went scoreless for more than 15 minutes in the second half.

MAVERICKS: New guidelines on fans and noise makers were announced for games at the American Airlines Center. The list of what's not allowed includes: Drums and other musical instruments; airhorns; bullhorns; electronically-amplified noisemakers; lasers or lights; sirens; boat horns; cap guns and pennies in a jar. Team officials said banned noise-making devices will be confiscated in an effort to make the arena safer during the playoffs.

SPURS: David Robinson sat out his sixth straight playoff game late Tuesday night because of a nerve problem in his lower back.
