MSCAA tournament

New Salem Baptist Academy won two games on Friday to advance to the consolation championship of the Missouri Christian Schools Athletic Association Class 2A state tournament in Joplin.

The Eagles (19-6) will take on Liberty of Wright City at noon today.

In the consolation quarterfinal round, New Salem defeated People's Christian Academy of Arnold 72-49 behind 22 points from Tyler Keys. Jeremy Rockhill had 19, Joe Davault scored 14 and Trent Jones added 12.

In the semifinal round, the Eagles topped Crescent Lake of Excelsior Springs 65-42. Rockhill scored 22, Keys scored 19 and Davault netted 10.
