The Eagle Ridge Christian School baseball team picked up two wins at the Missouri Christian Schools Activities Association (MCSAA) State Tournament on Friday in Joplin, Missouri.
The Eagles defeated Tower Grove Christian Academy of St. Louis 14-7 in their first game. Lane Henson was the winning pitcher and also doubled. He went the distance with 11 strikeouts and four walks. Dalton Lacy added a double for Eagle Ridge.
The Eagles continued their winning ways with a 12-9 victory over the Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis. Henson picked up another win on the mound for Eagle Ridge and smacked two triples.
Josh King hit an inside-the-park home run for the Eagles (10-5-1).

Jackson 4, Parkway South 1
Cassidi Tomsu netted two goals to lead the Indians to victory over the Patriots on the road in the suburban St. Louis area.
Hailey Mouser added one goal and one assist for Jackson (12-4-1). Alexa Kelpe dished out two assists while Emily Gartman had one. Rachel Crites also had one goal for the Indians.
Goalkeeper Sarah Blanton grabbed seven saves.
Brooke Hogard and Allison Moldenhauer each had one goal on an assist from each other to lead the Pirates in a makeup win at home.
Goalkeeper Taylor Pingel made six saves for Perryville (9-7-1).
