Two Holcomb players received first-team accolades in Maleigh Lemings, a senior, and junior Chloe Hendrix.
Lemings pounded 218 kills to go with 48 aces, 438 digs and a .949 serve accuracy. Hendrix also had stellar numbers with 220 kills, a team-leading 81 ace serves, 62 assists and 18 solo ace blocks.
Holcomb head coach Matt Casper noted Lemings has been a major reason why the Hornets have won more than 60 matches and earned district garland these back-to-back seasons.
Sophomore Landynn Hodges was a second-team pick, contributing a team-best 238 kills and 65 solo ace blocks. Ava Gurley was an all-district honorable mention, running the Hornet offense (535 assists) to go with 315 digs and 0.952 serving accuracy.
Zilliah Privett was a second-team, all-district pick posting 91 kills and 266 digs.
GIDEON
Gideon senior outside hitter Gala Darmofal earned first-team all-conference honors, and she was a major reason why the Bulldogs finished with a 21-9-1 record, and as conference and district tournament runner-up.
Darmofal was tops in kills with 251 in 874 attack chances. Gala also recorded a team second-best 61 aces and earned 184 points on her serve.
“Gala has been a key player for us this year,” Gideon head coach Kristen Ashabranner noted. “She took an active role in being the leader on the floor, and she did a great job. She was our go-to-girl, a six-rotation player and solid on the defensive side.”
Libero Mady Clenney, outside hitter Skyla Woodall and setter Jayden Buchanan — all seniors — achieved second-team all-conference honors.
Clenney, as expected, finished tops in digs with 290. She also paced the Bulldogs in aces (91) and service points (271).
Buchanan directed the offense with 576 assists, plus she had 155 digs and 102 service points. Woodall was second on the squad in kills (184) and she posted 140 digs, 55 ace serves and 168 total points.
RISCO
Risco junior outside hitter Jaelynn Presley earned first-team Tri-County Conference honors while senior middle blocker Natalie Collier was a second-team pick.
Jaelynn Presley recorded team-bests in kills (312) and ace serves (66). Collier contributed 277 kills, 95 digs and a slew of solo ace blocks.
Three Tigers were honorably mentioned in Landri Baker, Carly Akridge and Avery Presley.
Baker registered a team-best 314 digs, and she was the Tigers’ most accurate server (.955, 48 aces). Akridge was Risco’s setter with 480 assists, 176 digs and 51 aces. Avery Presley finished third in several categories, including kills (212) and digs (191), and she was second in aces (61) as the Tigers finished 19-13.
SOUTHLAND
Southland’s Kylie Walker, a junior, earned second-team all-conference honors, with a strong all-around season featuring a team-high 245 kills and 153 digs.
Teammate Jaden Taylor earned first-team all-district honors, scooping up 364 digs to go with 180 kills and a team-best serving accuracy at .941.
Shaylah Walker and Sophia Galloway were second-team all-district honorees.
Walker ran the Rebel offense with 272 assists and she was second on the squad in digs (247). Galloway had 225 digs, and served accurately every nine out of 10 chances, as Southland put together a 13-14-2 record
DELTA, COOTER
Delta C-7’s Pacey Medley, a senior, was honorably mentioned in Tri-County Conference voting, Medley distributed 320 assists and served up 33 aces for the Chargers, who won a pair of games this season.
Cooter finished with an 11-10-1 record, thanks in part due to the efforts of first-team all-district choices Avery Smith and Kelsey McCloud.
Smith registered 103 kills and a .319 attack percentage. She served 42 aces and gained 137 points on her serve. McCloud had 121 kills (.346), 28 aces and 103 service points earned.
