MALDEN — Ella Gardner provided four ace serves and Kynsly McCaig registered 16 digs as the Indians brought out the brooms versus the Green Wave, 25-19, 25-17, 25-21.
“That was a different kind of game,” Kennett head coach Kristy Green said of the loss to Doniphan on Tuesday.
“We were able to put the ball away better (tonight), and at times our serve receive was great,” Green added.
Gardner served up an ace to keep the Indians comfortably ahead in the third set. The match ended on a Malden service error.
Baylee Wilcut added 10 digs and Gardner seven. McCaig also chipped in with three aces. Bella Wilson and Tayja Carter were tops in kills with four each.
Olivia Raspberry also played meaningful points for Kennett in the third set to help the Indians win.
Malden (3-2) individual statistics weren't provided for this press run of the
Delta Dunklin Democrat.
Like Clarkton, both the Indians and Green Wave played in the “Dig For Life Challenge,” sponsored by St. Francis Healthcare.
