Brooke Miles hit two doubles and drove in six runs as the Woodland softball team picked up a 16-14 conference road victory over Advance on Monday.

Krista Rhodes was the winning pitcher and also doubled for Woodland (2-0, 1-0 SCAA Conference). She threw 6 1/3 innings and allowed four earned runs on 10 hits. She struck out three and walked two.

Johna Martin had a triple and Mara Grindstaff recorded two RBIs for the Cardinals.

Ally Johnson took the loss in the circle for Advance (1-1, 1-1). She pitched five innings and gave up 13 runs (12 earned) on 16 hits. She struck out four and walked three.

Karlee Beggs had a double and drove in five runs for the Hornets.

Jordan Rellergert blasted a home run in the final frame and drove in three runs while getting on base all four of his plate appearances as the Indians opened their season with a win over the Black Cats on the road.

Rellergert also got his first pitching win for St. Vincent (1-0). He threw 6 1/3 innings and allowed one unearned run on three hits. He had 12 strikeouts and walked two.

Noah Niswonger also hit a home run and added a double to help propel the Indians to victory.

Brennan White sustained the loss on the mound for Fredericktown (0-1). He pitched four innings and gave up two earned runs on six hits with four strikeouts and no walks.

The Blue Jays had an explosive third inning and only needed two more innings to easily handle the Bobcats in the lopsided road rout.

Jordan Barker went the distance on the mound to get the win for Oak Ridge (2-2). He gave up three earned runs, struck out 11 and walked five.

Steven Masterson hit a double and recorded seven RBIs while Nathan Bolin added a triple, a double and six RBIs for the Blue Jays. Josh Pratt doubled twice and batted in five runs for Oak Ridge.

Delta fell to 0-2 with the loss.

The Bulldogs debuted their season with a win at home in penalty kicks over the Lancers.

Maddie Urhahn netted the only goal for Notre Dame (1-0) in regulation in which the score was tied 1-1.

St. Pius X fell to 0-1 with the loss.

Perryville 3, Kelly 1

Brooke Hogard recorded one goal and one assist as the Pirates opened their season with a win over the Hawks on the road.

Kylie Bilek and Emma Nelson added one goal each for Perryville (1-0). Sydney Spears dished out one assist for the Pirates.

Goalkeeper Camryn Baer had nine saves.

Kelly dropped to 2-1 with the loss. The Hawks clinched a pair of victories at home over the weekend against Affton (1-0) and Paragould, Ark. (10-2).

St. Vincent 4, Cape Central 1

Lauren Carron and Corin Carroll notched one goal and one assist apiece as the Indians began their season with a road victory over the Tigers.

Kalli Seabaugh and Megan Hennemann scored the other goals for St. Vincent (1-0). Jenna Winkler dished out two assists for the Indians.

Goalkeepers Courtney Brewer and Brooke Lottes combined for three saves.

Cape Central fell to 0-1 with the loss.

Sam Wright carded a 12-over-par 48 as the Pirates opened their season with a loss to the Tigers at the Perryville Country Club.

Festus's Bryce Wehlerman finished one stroke ahead of Wright to earn the medalist honors.
