Josie Long earned the win in the circle. She gave up seven walks and recorded five strikeouts.
Shelby Sawyer and Whitney Lincoln each hit a double for Woodland (1-0).
Hannah Clark clubbed three doubles to pace the Hornets. She also suffered the loss in the circle, striking out six and walking one.
