Junior Al Young scored a game-high 18 points to lead Central to a 57-41 road victory over Farmington on Friday in boys high school basketball action in a rematch of a Class 4 sectional.
The Tigers, who had their 2013-14 season ended with a three-point sectional loss to the Knights, built a 13-point lead by the close of the first quarter. Central, which had its lead cut to nine points by halftime, pushed the advantage to 15 points by the close of the third quarter on its way to the win.
Andre Statam added 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, and Peyton Montgomery netted 10 points for Central (7-1).
Jordan Ankrom scored 13 points, and Mike Pinkley added 10 points for Farmington (2-4).
