Kaleb Schnurbusch sank 13 points as St. Vincent boys basketball team overcame a halftime deficit to defeat visiting Leopold 48-39 on Thursday.

The Wildcats held a 28-26 lead at halftime, but the Indians moved ahead with a 15-4 scoring advantage in the third quarter.

Joe Whistler added 11 points and Luke Wibbenmeyer finished with 10 points for St. Vincent (2-3).

Zach Elfrink recorded a game-high 21 points and Blake Eeftink chipped in 11 points to pace Leopold (1-5).

Allie Cummins tallied 15 points and five rebounds, while Brianna Stause notched 10 points, six rebounds and three assists for Oran (5-1). Hannah Scherer added 10 points and three assists, while Ashlyn McIntosh pulled in a team-high 10 rebounds for the Eagles. Kaylen Glastetter recorded five steals and blocked five shots for Oran.

Natalie Crockett had eight points for South Pemiscot.

Kennett's Heidi Shetley netted a game-high 21 points to lead the ninth-seeded Indians in an upset that dealt the eighth-seeded Red Devils their first loss of the season in the opening round of the Twin Rivers Lady Royals Christmas Classic in Broseley, Missouri.

The Indians led by only three points at halftime before outscoring the Red Devils 28-14 in the second half.

Kennett (5-3) will take on top-seeded defending champion Dexter (4-3) at 3 p.m. Saturday. Chaffee (5-1) will take on the Redbirds on Saturday at 9 a.m. in a consolation quarterfinal.
