Scott City senior Brandon Shemonia raced to a fifth-place finish in the varsity green race at Saturday's Forest Park Cross Country Festival in St. Louis.
Shemonia crossed the line in 15 minutes, 26.30 seconds.
Central's Billy Leighton was 15th.
Jackson placed 23rd and Scott City followed in 25th.
The Notre Dame boys took first place in the boys varsity white team standings.
Jacob Meadors led the Bulldogs in 16th place, while Cole Ross finished 19th.
Ethan Seyer took 11th for Oak Ridge, while Corvin Schoen finished in 30th for the Blue Jays.
Jackson's Taylor Dickerson finished ninth in the varsity green race.
Elizabeth Kiblinger took 22nd for Notre Dame, helping the Bulldogs finish 12th as a team.
Lexi Wunderlich placed 62nd for Oak Ridge, while Carlie Bolen finished in 71st in the girls varsity white division.

Kristian Troxel swam a pair of state-cut times and set a meet record for Jackson.
Troxel placed second in the 200 freestyle with a state-cut time of 1 minute, 50.50 seconds. He won the 500 freestyle in a state-cut time.
Troxel also broke the meet record in the 25 freestyle to grab that title.
Jackson's 400 freestyle relay took fifth. The Indians finished in seventh in the 11-team meet with 165.5 points.
Notre Dame placed fourth with 283 points. John Burroughs won the meet with 523 points.

Brandon Klinkhardt had three goals and one assist in the win.
Taylor Johnson netted two goals and recorded two assists, while Anthony Etzold had two goals.
Collin Sprandel added a goal, and Brandon Fritsche had two assists.
The Crusaders then lost to Sacred Heart 2-1.
Klinkhardt scored the Crusaders' lone goal. Sprandel assisted on the play.
