High school roundup: Saxony Lutheran volleyball team falls to Sikeston

Jordan Hecht collected 10 kills, but Saxony Lutheran fell on the road as Sikeston rallied for a 16-25, 25-22, 25-18 victory in its home debut.

Raegan Wieser recorded 12 digs, five kills and two blocks for Saxony Lutheran (3-4-2). Nicole Mobley served four aces, while Brianna Mueller dished out 15 assists. Abigail Bergmann led the defense with 14 digs.

Sikeston improved to 1-2.

Daria Thompson nailed six kills as the Pirates remained undefeated and dealt the host Black Cats (3-1) their first loss of the season.

Anissa Meyer added two kills and Morgan French served four aces for Perryville (3-0).

The Indians placed first in eight events to come away with the win in a three-team meet at the Southeast Aquatics Center.

Jackson's Austin Hobbs and Joey Janisse both won two events to pace the Indians in the victory.
