High school roundup: Saxony Lutheran boys close regular season with rout of Bell City

Gabe Bohnert scored a game-high 23 points and dished out five assists as the Saxony Lutheran boys basketball team finished its regular season Tuesday night with an 84-49 rout of visiting Bell City.

Jack Lake had 20 points and 15 rebounds for Saxony Lutheran (10-15). Brandon Fritsche added 13 points and Logan Sprandel had 12 points.

Jerad Yates led the Cubs (2-18) with 20 points, including four 3-pointers. Trey Geiger added 16 points.

Saxony will begin Class 3 District 2 action when it faces St. Pius X at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Park Hills, Mo.
