The Saxony Lutheran boys basketball team kept its unbeaten season alive and pulled off a notable upset in the Bloomfield Tournament, upsetting third-seeded South Pemiscot 52-43 on Monday to move on to the semifinals in Bloomfield, Missouri.
The sixth-seeded Crusaders (10-0) got 14 points apiece from William Rogers and Graesen Meystedt to hand South Pemiscot (9-1) its first loss of the year. Corie Wiliams chipped in 14 points for Saxony Lutheran.
The Crusaders trailed by two points at halftime but used a 19-12 third quarter to leapfrog on top and hold on for victory.
South Pemiscot was led by 18 points from Kevin Burton.
Saxony Lutheran will face second-seeded Kennett at 8:30 p.m. today.
