All high school sports results reported to the Southeast Missourian on Wednesday.

Brooke Hogard recorded six digs, five kills and three blocks as the Perryville volleyball team handed host Farmington its first loss of the season on Wednesday.

The Pirates won 25-20, 25-22.

"We knew it'd be a tough battle," Perryville coach Dave Mirly said. "We came out with a lot of intensity."

Ahnie Hoff had four kills and Brooke Moll added six assists and two digs for the Pirates (2-0).

Farmington (4-1) defeated Perryville's Class 3 District 1 nemeses Dexter and Notre Dame last week.

Sam Feeney recorded 12 digs, 12 assists and served four aces as the Bulldogs hammered the Rams (1-2) at home.

Abbie McAlister nailed 13 kills and Lydia Goodson added six kills for Notre Dame (2-1).

Leopold 25 25, Marquand-Zion 8 7

Caitlin Petty tallied eight kills, four assists and four aces to lead the host Wildcats in the easy conference victory over the Tigers (0-2).

Ashlyn Bucher and Bailee Cope each added four kills for Leopold (6-0-2). Cope also notched two aces and two digs, while Emily Seiler recorded eight assists, five aces and two kills for the Wildcats.

SOFTBALL

Notre Dame 7, Affton 0

Claire Landewee doubled and went 2 for 3 at the plate as the Bulldogs picked up the win at home over the Cougars.

Nikki Peters was the winning pitcher. She went the distance and had seven strikeouts and one walk.

Anne Ziegler and Maria Layton each doubled for Notre Dame (3-0).

Logan Meyr belted a triple to help the Crusaders remain undefeated with a win at home over the Pirates.

Ashley Steck earned her second win of the season in the circle. She pitched a complete game and allowed two earned runs on four hits and had four strikeouts and one walk.

Grace Mirly and Tayla Meyr each doubled and both went 3 for 3 at the plate for Saxony Lutheran (6-0).

Macey Hall was the losing pitcher. She went the distance and gave up 10 earned runs on nine hits with one strikeout and seven walks. She also hit a home run to pace Perryville (2-3).

Central improved to 3-1 with the victory while Jackson fell to 1-1.

St. Vincent Invitational

St. Vincent's Levi Krauss posted a second-place time of 18 minutes, 17.62 seconds as the St. Vincent boys cross country team finished first in its home invitational.

Woodland's Landon Thomsen finished first with a time of 18:15.92 as the Cardinals finished three points behind the Indians to take second.

On the girls' side, St. Vincent's Kylie Baer finished ahead of the pack with a time of 23:55.06 seconds as the Indians placed second overall. Saxony Lutheran's Grace Hanebrink posted a fourth-place time of 24:51.62 seconds as the Crusaders won the girls' division with a score of 32.

Murphysboro Invitational

The Notre Dame girls cross country team captured the championship in the 19-team Murphsyboro Invitational on Wednesday at Riverside Park in Murphysboro, Ill.

Sophomore Katie Hanners finished seventh with a time of 21 minutes, 29.1 seconds to lead the Bulldogs, which finished nearly 100 points ahead of Carterville, Ill., for first place. Deanna Deterding of Red Bud, Ill., finished first in the race with a time of 20:19.7.

On the boys' side, Notre Dame finished second with a score of 77 behind Salem, Ill. Brock Kasten also finished seventh to lead the Bulldogs with a time of 18 minutes, 2.5 seconds. Carterville's Harrison Thomas placed first with a time of 16:50.2.
