All of the area high school events reported Monday to the Southeast Missourian.

Perryville built a 17-point lead by halftime and defeated Hillsboro 49-37 at home Monday night in girls high school basketball action.

Natalie Bauwens paced the Pirates (4-7) with 12 points. Emily Hanquist added 11 points and Hilary Hemman had 10.

Brooke Meyer scored a game-high 17 points for Hillsboro.

St. Vincent dropped to 9-4 with a loss to De Soto on the road.

Chelsie Boxdorfer led the Indians with 18 points, including two 3-pointers. Storm French also finished in double digits for St. Vincent, scoring 11 points.
