Eli Tripp recorded a double-double with a game-high 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead the No. 11 Perryville boys basketball team in a 67-54 consolation quarterfinal victory over No. 14 Viburnum in the Bob Sechrest, Jr., Christmas Tournament at Central High School in Park Hills, Mo.

Conner Stark netted 18 points and had six steals and four assists for Perryville (5-4).

Collin Blount had 19 points and Keith Kramer tossed in 10 points to pace Viburnum (4-6).

The Pirates will face No. 10 Crystal City (9-4) in a consolation semifinal today at 1:30 p.m. The Hornets stung No. 15 Fredericktown (3-6) 67-21 in an earlier consolation quarterfinal to advance.

East Prairie's Seth Bays tallied a game-high 18 points as the No. 13 Eagles flew to a win in a consolation semifinal to upset and eliminate the ninth-seeded Crusaders from the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament.

Brandon Evans notched 16 points and Mack Marcum chipped in 14 points for East Prairie (6-4). The Eagles will play 10th-seeded Puxico for the consolation championship today at 4 p.m. The Indians downed No. 14 Doniphan 67-56 in Monday's other consolation semifinal to advance.

Graesen Meystedt had 15 points to pace Saxony Lutheran (5-5). Ryan Palmer netted 13 points and Corie Williams contributed 11 points for the Crusaders. Chase Steffens dished out five assists.

Valley's Kohen Waller scored a game-high 22 points as the seventh-seeded Vikings were able to pull off an upset over the sixth-seeded Indians in a consolation semifinal of the Valle Catholic Warrior Winter Classic in Ste. Genevieve, Mo.

Logan Lucas and Ethan Nipper added 11 points apiece for Valley (2-8). The Vikings will square off against fourth-seeded Marquand-Zion for the consolation title today at 4:30 p.m. The Tigers (5-5) rolled over eighth-seeded Kingston (1-7) 63-49 in Monday's earlier consolation semifinal to advance.

Tyler Monier had 15 points and Trevor Leible contributed 12 points for St. Vincent (2-6). The Indians will play Kingston for seventh place today at 3 p.m.

The fifth-seeded Bulldogs appeared to be headed towards dealing top-seeded host Valle Catholic a major upset in the Warrior Winter Classic, but a strong fourth quarter turned things around as the Warriors reclaimed the lead and outscored the Bulldogs by 22 points to cinch the win.

The Warriors will battle Jefferson (Festus) for the championship tonight at 7:30 p.m. The third-seeded Blue Jays (5-4) eked out a win over second-seeded Grandview (Hillsboro) 63-62 in Monday's earlier semifinal.

Zalma (4-4) will play Grandview (5-4) for third place at 6 p.m. tonight.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

St. Pius X (Festus) 63, Perryville 42

St. Pius X's Alex Linderer bucketed a game-high 19 points to lead the top-seeded Lancers in the semifinal victory over the fifth-seeded Pirates in the St. Paul Lutheran Christmas Tournament in Farmington, Mo.

Ashley Politte added 11 points for St. Pius X (7-4).

Emma Nelson recorded 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Ahnie Hoff also had 14 points to pace Perryville (3-6). Kylie Bilek tossed in 11 points for the Pirates.

Perryville will face third-seeded Viburnum (5-4) tonight at 6 p.m. for third place. The Blue Jays fell to second-seeded West County 46-35 in Monday's later semifinal.

West County (5-4) will take on St. Pius X for the championship, which is slated to start at 7:30 p.m.
