Junior center Colin Schirmer scored a game-high 26 points and pulled down 17 rebounds to help the fifth-seeded Perryville boys basketball team to an 83-65 victory over Valle Catholic in the third-place game of the Chester (Ill.) Invitational on Saturday.
Schirmer added seven blocks against the third-seeded Warriors.
The Pirates (4-9) connected on a season-high nine 3-pointers on 15 attempts.
Nate Kinnison, who had four of the 3-pointers, finished with 21 points, eight steals and five assists.
Grant Dix added 14 points, while Garrett Martin had nine assists.
Sixth-seeded Saxony Lutheran claimed fifth place with a 60-39 win against Cobden (Ill.).
Jack Lake led the Crusaders (6-11) to their third consecutive victory with a triple-double. Lake had 14 points, 10 rebounds and 10 blocks.
Gabe Bohnert paced Saxony with 20 points and had nine rebounds.

Central's Chris Bryant won the heavyweight division at the Rockwood Summit Invitational on Saturday.
Bryant (9-1) decisioned Ryan Ochoa of Hillsboro 10-8 in the heavweight final.
Alex Davis Carter (18-11) also won a 7-3 decision against Whitfield's Conrad Chadwick to place third.
Central finished 10th in the 13-team field.
