The Perryville Pirates needed just one day to bounce bounced back from their first loss of the season, defeating North County 59-40 in the Jefferson County Conference Shootout on Saturday at Jefferson County Community College in Hillsboro, Missouri.
McGwire Bartley paced the Pirates (6-1), who had lost to Saxony Lutheran on Friday night, with 14 points. Conner Stark added 12 points.
The Pirates built an 18-10 lead by the close of the first quarter and extended the advantage to 37-20 by halftime.
