Adam Williams and Brent Garland both connected for a home run in Meadow Heights' 5-3 victory over Scott County Central in baseball action Thursday.

Williams went 2 for 4, while Garland went 2 for 3.

Trevor Hotop reached on a double while Tanner Bollmann went 2 for 4 for the Panthers (5-3).

Cody Kennedy struck out 12 to earn the win.

Blake Pobst struck out five batters and walked two in a losing effort.

Jeremy Essner connected for two doubles, while Mark Hagedorn went 2 for 4 with a double in the win.

Colton Young and Jake Pewitt both went 3 for 3 for the Bulldogs (12-1).

Tanner Hiett picked up his fifth win on the mound by tossing a two-hitter.

Jeff Gates doubled for the Hawks.

Trista Clark connected for two triples and Jenny Ware hit a double while going 2 for 2 for Zalma (1-5).

Stefanie Slemmer picked up the win while going 3 for 5 at the plate.

The Wildcats' offense was led by Elizabeth Eftink, who homered. She also connected for a double and finished with two RBIs.

Ashley Keim knocked in four for the Wildcats (10-5).

The Crusaders improved to 7-5.

The host Tigers won the tri-meet at Cape Girardeau Country Club.

Trent Weaver shot even-par 35 to capture medalist honors for Central.

Collin Sprandel shot a 43 to lead the Crusaders, who finished third.
