Morgan Todt pitched a five-hit shutout to lead the Oran softball team into the championship game at the Class 1 District 1 tournament.

Second-seeded Oran, the tournament host, eased past sixth-seeded Delta 6-0 in Thursday's semifinals.

Todt struck out two and walked three in her complete-game effort.

Oran had 10 hits, led by Taylor Nenninger's 3-for-3 performance. Allie Cummins added two hits and drove in two runs.

The Eagles broke on top with two runs in the bottom of the second inning and never looked back. Oran added single runs in the third through sixth innings to seal the victory.

Rachel Birkman paced Delta's offense with two hits.

Thursday's other semifinal saw top-seeded and defending district champion Naylor slip past fifth-seeded Neelyville 3-2 with a run in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Oran will host Naylor at 4 p.m. today for the district title.

Kate Edwards knocked down 18 kills for the Bulldogs in the home win.

Miranda Fowler contributed eight kills, and Sarah Lawrence had seven kills for Notre Dame (14-6).

Shelby Dix put up 18 assists, while Taylor Ward had 15 assists. Olivia Roth and Amy Wibbenmeyer both had 21 digs.

Jasmine Johnson led Bell City (11-9-2) with 30 kills, 26 digs, seven blocks and three assists.

Sierra Bradshaw had four kills and seven blocks, Trisha Slaley put up 38 assists and Cassidy Green served four aces.

Jackson 25 25 Leopold 10 21

Jackson's Kelsey McDowell contributed three kills, 18 assists, four digs and one block in the home sweep.

Melinna Craft added five kills and six digs, while Julia Weber had five kills and three blocks for the Indians (14-11-1).

Hailey Mouser finished with six kills, three digs, five digs and two blocks for Jackson.

JV -- Jackson won 25-12, 25-23

The Rams remained undefeated with a road sweep.

Katie Hogan contributed eight kills and four stuff-blocks for the Rams (19-0).

Mikah Simpson and Whitney Froman both added five kills and four stuff-blocks for Scott City. Sydney Short recorded with 19 assists.

Perryville 25 23 25 Crystal City 19 25 18

The Pirates improved to 23-2 with a road win.

Kristen Triller had seven aces, while Shea Leible contributed 14 digs for Perryville.

JV -- Perryville won 28-26, 25-19

Meadow Hts 25 25 Saxony 20 21

Erin Bollmann led the Panthers with 17 kills and four blocks.

Whitney Welker finished with three kills, four blocks and three aces, while Mercedes Abernathy added five digs for Meadow Heights (16-7).

GIRLS TENNIS

Class 1 District 1

Notre Dame's Reagan Kapp and Kelly Kapp qualified for Tuesday's sectional in Sikeston by finishing second in doubles at the individual district tournament in Sikeston.

The Kapps won two matches before falling in the finals after receiving a first-round bye.

Notre Dame's other doubles team of Caroline Burke and Anna Unterreiner posted two wins, then lost in the semifinals and third-place contest

Central meet

Chaminade won the five-team meet with 626 points.

Notre Dame was second with 512, followed by Central (337), Jackson (324) and Saxony Lutheran (55).

Central's Jordan Gramling placed first in the 100 butterfly and second in the 100 backstroke.

Jackson's Kristian Troxel won the 200 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke, while Kelton Burgi placed first in diving.

Connor McGinnis finished first in the 500 freestyle and second in the 200 freestyle for Saxony Lutheran.
