Richland's Hunter Walker netted 15 points as the Richland boys basketball team picked up its first win of the season with a 57-53 home win over Oak Ridge on Tuesday.

Brandon Partenberry netted 11 points and Josh Thornton chipped in 10 points for Richland (1-14), which trailed by four points at halftime before rallying in the second-half to outscore the Blue Jays by eight points.

Nathan Bolin nailed a game-high 26 points to pace Oak Ridge (3-14).

Dallan Stotts busted a game-high 21 points, all from behind the arc, but it was not enough as the Bulldogs fell to the Tigers in pool play of the Mississippi Valley Conference (MVC) Tournament at Meadow Heights.

Jacob Steinberg netted 12 points and Christopher Lombeida chipped in 11 points for Zalma (11-8), which held a 37-25 lead at halftime before the Tigers rallied in the second half to erase the deficit and come away with the victory.

Daniel Snider finished with 20 points and Cody Weekley added 17 points to lead Marquand-Zion (9-10).

Both teams are 1-1 in the round-robin tournament, which concludes Thursday as the Tigers face Leopold and the Bulldogs go up against Meadow Heights.
