The Notre Dame girls swimming and diving team placed first in four events and posted 440 points to clinch the title of the six-team Show-Me Conference Meet on Thursday at Central Municipal Pool.
Notre Dame sophomore Madison Heisserer posted first-place times of 1 minute, 59.22 seconds in the 200 freestyle and 5:22 in the 500 freestyle to help the Bulldogs to victory. Heisserer, along with Emily Todt, Megan Peters and Caroline Schott, broke the meet record in the 200 medley relay with a first-place time of 1:57.15 that broke the meet record set by Jackson last year.
Jackson sophomore Caitlyn Palmer was selected as the meet's MVP. She broke the meet record in the 200 individual medley that was set four years ago by fellow Jackson alum Kyleigh Troxel and won the 100 butterfly. Both wins were state-qualifying times.
Central finished in second place with 409 points.

The Crusaders made enough late free throws to hold off Scott City at home.
The Crusaders hit 10 of 16 free throws in the fourth quarter. Seniors Jack Lake and Zach Beal led the way for the Crusaders.
