All the local high school events reported Saturday to the Southeast Missourian.

Notre Dame's Annie Siebert recorded a game-high 16 points as the Bulldogs defeated host Saxony Lutheran 45-38 on Saturday in girls basketball.

"It was a good win for our girls," Notre Dame coach Renee Peters said. "Both teams are very strong, physical and competitive. Anytime you can win one on the road, it's a good thing. Credit to both teams. We didn't shoot as well as we have in the past couple of games, but I'm proud of the girls for finding a way to win."

Karsen Powers tallied 12 points and five assists for Notre Dame (3-0). Shelby Beussink added six points, 10 rebounds and five steals.

Brianna Mueller scored a team-high 13 points for Saxony Lutheran (2-1).
