A big start and a strong finish launched the Notre Dame boys basketball team to a 66-44 win over host De Soto on Friday.

The Bulldogs found success down low, as Carson Ketcher and Dawson Dohogne led the team with 14 and 11 points, respectively. Josh Seabaugh pitched in another nine points for Notre Dame (11-12).

Blake Bauwens set another school 3-point shooting record, as his one trey on the night gave him 67 for the season, breaking Ty Williams' previous mark.

De Soto (5-17) was paced by 12 points from Craig Theiss.

A triple-double from Garrett Thele helped the Wildcats to their second win of the season.

Thele finished with 32 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists to lead Leopold (2-21) in the home victory over the Bobcats.

Blake Leazenby chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Wildcats.

Triston Perry had 19 points to pace Delta (1-21), and Quentin Little added 14 points.

El Dorado 50, Eagle Ridge 45

The Eagles fell to the Buffalo in the second round of the Missouri Christian School Activities Association (MCSAA) State Tournament in Joplin, Missouri.

Caleb Friedrich finished with a game-high 20 points to lead Eagle Ridge (10-15), which held a 23-15 lead at halftime before being outscored 35-22 in the second half. Hunter Jones chipped in 15 points for the Eagles.

Elijah Buttorff led El Dorado Christian with 18 points, while Laine Dobbs added 13 points.

The Eagles lost by six points to the Panthers in the second round of the MCSAA State Tournament in Joplin, Missouri.

Sarah Jackson finished with a game-high 10 points to lead Eagle Ridge (14-9), which was outscored 18-8 following the halftime break.

Alyssa Haverdink and Maya Washington each finished with eight points to pace Providence Classical Christian.
