Notre Dame junior Anne Himmelberg recorded 10 saves to shut out visiting Central in girls soccer action Wednesday.

Brianne Sanders recorded a hat trick and added an assist to lead the Bulldogs to the 8-0 win.

Ashten Hesselrode scored once and posted a pair of helpers, while Allyson Bradshaw finished with a goal and an assist. Olivia Roth assisted on two goals.

Morgan Kirkpatrick, Hali Rendleman and Shelby Dix all scored once, while Meghan Dohogne had one assist as Notre Dame improved to 4-4.

Dexter 155, Central 160

The Tigers shot a season-low nine-hole score but lost to the Bearcats at the Cape Girardeau Country Club.

Central (4-3) was led by a 1-over par from Corey Connell, who had his best nine-hole score of the year and shared medalist honors with Dexter's Chance Holden.

The Tigers almost overcame seven errors against the No. 7 team in Class 4.

But Francis Howell scored the go-ahead run in the sixth and held on for the home win.

Josh Hiett went 3 for 4 with three RBIs, while Sam Schneider added two hits for the Tigers (6-4).

Josh Meyer took the loss in relief of Jamie Pickel. Meyer allowed three runs, one earned, and struck out one in three innings. Pickel struck out one and walked one in three innings of work.
