Notre Dame's Jackson Voss won two events and met a state-qualifying time in the 500 freestyle to lead Notre Dame to a second-place finish in a triangular swim meet Friday in St. Louis.
Host MICDS won the meet with 131 points with Notre Dame close behind at 123. Central third with 50.
Voss' time of 5 minutes, 6.04 seconds means the senior qualified for the state meet in that event later this fall. Voss also won the 200 freestyle in 1:53.21.
Voss also swam on the Bulldogs' winning 200 medley and 400 freestyle relay teams.

Jackson, SV split
Autumn Reid had six kills, seven digs and four aces as Jackson split with St. Vincent, winning the first game 25-15 before losing the second 25-18 at the Notre Dame VolleyFest.
Hailey Mauser added three kills, seven digs and three aces while McKinzie Scott had eight assists for the Indians (1-1-1).
Eagle Ridge 2, Rivers of Life 0
Callie Hefner totalled seven aces and four assists, and Hannah Petzoldt had five aces in Eagle Ridge's road win at Liberty Christian in St. Louis.
Hefner had 11 aces, four kills and six assists while Petzoldt totalled four aces and four kills in Eagle Ridge's victory over Rivers of Life.
Perryville wins in PKs
It took a little longer than expected, but the Perryville soccer team made it to the finals of the Notre Dame SoccerFest.
The Pirates played Carbondale (Ill.) to a 1-1 tie through overtime, then finally won on penalty kicks, 4-3, Friday to advance to Saturday's final.
Matt Moran scored for Perryville (4-1) in regulation off an assist by Kyle Wood, and also hit on a penalty kick. Others making their penalty kicks were Luke Schlichting, Amelio Mattingly and Pablo Mattingly.
Luke Dobbelare had seven saves in goal for the Pirates.
Benjamin Parsons scored Notre Dame's lone goal as the Bulldogs lost in the semifinals of the Notre Dame SoccerFest.
