All the local high school events reported Monday to the Southeast Missourian.

The Notre Dame boys first-year volleyball team nudged above .500 with a sweep of host O'Fallon Christian on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs improved to 6-5 with their 25-13, 25-17 victory.

Rhett Simmons led the way with nine kills, eight assists and six aces. Tyler Allen and John Fennewald both had five kills, while Collin Kramer had 12 assists.

GIRLS SOCCER

Perryville 4, Central 1

Brooke Hogard scored two goals to help the Pirates to victory at Central High School.

Hogard's first goal gave the Pirates a 1-0 halftime lead, and she netted a second-half goal along with Allison Moldenhauer and Allison Schindler. Moldenhauer, Alex Spears and Maria Thieret each had one assist.

Perryville led 4-0 before Abby Schupert netted a late goal for Central.

Miranda Stortz made six saves in goal for Perryville (3-2).

Kelly 190, Doniphan 194, Caruthersville 200

Kelly's Derrick Garner shot a 39 at Cape Jaycee Municipal Golf Course to grab the medalist honor and lead the Hawks to victory.
