An out away from suffering its first loss of the season Wednesday, the Notre Dame baseball team got a bloop hit from Mark Hagedorn.

The Bulldogs scored five times in the seventh for an 8-4 come-from-behind win after Hagedorn's RBI single over the outstretched glove of Poplar Bluff's second baseman tied the game.

"[We] just needed that one little break, you know we got it," Notre Dame coach Jeff Graviett said. "It started off with a good, solid hit in the gap, but it came down to that little ball falling over the second baseman's head."

Notre Dame (7-0, 5-0 SEMO) scored first, but trailed 4-1 before scoring twice in the fifth inning.

Hagedorn was 2-for-3 with a walk, scored twice and drove in two runs while Aaron Tomaszswski finished 3-for-4 and Colton Young had two hits and drew a walk.

Young picked up the win in relief, retiring eight of the nine hitters he faced, hitting one and striking out five in three innings.
