All the local high school events reported Monday to the Southeast Missourian.

Taylor Cureton scored 12 points and Haley Thorn grabbed 18 rebounds to lead host Meadow Heights to a 39-21 victory over St. Vincent in girls basketball action Monday night.

Cureton scored all of her points on four 3-pointers. Meadow Heights (2-4) had six 3-pointers overall.

Katie Mattingly paced St. Vincent (2-5) with eight points.

The Cardinals held visiting Scott City to single-digit scoring in each of the first three quarters to record a comfortable victory.

Woodland (5-1) led 30-14 after three quarters.

Kat Cooper paced Woodland with 17 points, while Josie Long added 11.

Natalie Woods scored a team-high 10 points for Scott City (1-5)
