All the local high school events reported Monday to the Southeast Missourian.

Meadow Heights was outhit by Leopold but escaped with a 3-2 conference victory in a baseball game played in Leopold, Missouri.

Brendan Welker had half of the Panthers' three hits as Meadow Heights was outhit 10-6 by the Wildcats, who were the visiting team after the game was moved due to field conditions in Patton, Missouri.

Lane Baremore picked up the win. He allowed one earned run and had four strikeouts for Meadow Heights (2-3).

Zach Elfrink took the loss and also doubled. He gave up three unearned runs and recorded 10 strikeouts for Leopold (1-3).

The Red Devils scored 13 runs in the first inning on their way to a five-inning win at home.

Alec Bogenpohl pitched two innings for the win. He allowed two hits and had five strikeouts and no walks.

Kodi Ballard had three RBIs for Chaffee (9-2).

Colten Winters and Geoffrey Brown each hit a double and drove in two runs apiece to lead the Braves to the conference road win.

Steven Burton was the winning pitcher. He threw five innings, giving up seven hits with five strikeouts and one walk.

Gavin Pobst went 4 for 5 at the plate for Scott County Central.

Lane Henson was the losing pitcher. He threw three innings and allowed nine runs -- three earned -- on five hits with nine strikeouts and two walks.

Austin Copeland had two doubles and three RBIs for Chaffee (9-3).

Nathan Hurst allowed just one hit as the Crusaders won at home in five innings.

Hurst struck out eight and issued four walks

Chase Steffens had a triple for Saxony (3-1), while Tyler Dowdy and Paris Johnson both had doubles.

Austin White took the loss for Delta (0-4-1).

State-ranked Bernie remained undefeated with a road victory.

Brock Beacham picked up the win for Bernie (5-0). He allowed three runs on five hits, walked three and struck out 10 in six innings.

Brian Whitson took the loss, allowing eight runs in four-plus innings.

Dawson Mayo allowed two runs in three innings of relief for the Hornets.

CJ Seger had a double for Advance (1-5) .

Ashlyn Bucher hit a grand slam, and Leopold scored in every inning to improve to 5-0 in a five-inning conference game played on its own field but where Meadow Heights was listed as the home team.

Leah Landewee and Shelby Schreckenberg both had triples, while Brittany Garland and Makaylee Richards each had a pair of doubles.

Leopold banged out 21 hits, including three-hit days for Richards, Schreckenberg, Lexi Vandeven, Bucher and Garland.

Vandeven allowed just one hit, striking out nine and walking three.

Madison Cover picked up the win in the circle. She pitched a complete game, walked four and struck out one.

Sierra Owens and Brooke Miles added doubles for Woodland (4-4).

Kylie Bilek scored one goal and had one assist to lead the Pirates in the road win.

Brooke Moll and Emma Nelson added one goal apiece for Perryville (6-2). Maria Thieret and Maddi Layton each had one assist.

Goalkeeper Miranda Stortz had 10 saves in the shutout.

Central dropped to 1-6.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Notre Dame 25 25 Living Word 18 20

Rhett Simmons nailed nine kills to lead the Bulldogs in the win at home over the Eagles.

Blake Dunlap tallied five kills for Notre Dame (7-2). John Fennewald had five digs, three kills and two aces for the Bulldogs.

Evan Landewee dished out 23 assists.
