All the local high school events reported Monday to the Southeast Missourian.

Southeast Missourian

Emily Seiler tallied 12 kills, seven digs and two aces as the host Leopold Wildcats defeated Meadow Heights 24-26, 25-22, 25-19 in a Mississippi Valley Conference volleyball match Monday night.

Ashley Nussbaum recorded six kills, four blocks and two digs for Leopold (7-7, 2-0 conference). Patience VanderMierden dished out 20 assists and notched 11 digs for the Wildcats.

Meadow Heights dropped to 6-6-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

JV-- Meadow Heights won 25-20, 23-25, 25-22

Zalma 25 25, Marquand 15 21

Jenny Pullam recorded three kills and three kills to help the Bulldogs to the conference win on the road over the winless Tigers.

Macey James added three kills and one ace, and Tiffany Clark had two aces for Zalma (6-8-1, 2-0 Mississippi Valley Conference). Lacie VanGennip served five aces and had two kills and Kelsee Montgomery added four aces and 11 assists for the Bulldogs.

Marquand fell to 0-10 overall and 0-2 in the conference.

Saxony Lutheran 25 25, Oak Ridge 6 14

Allie Sprink had eight digs, seven kills and two aces as the Crusaders cruised in the easy road win.

Jordan Hecht added 19 assists, three aces and two kills for Saxony Lutheran (9-6-2).

Oak Ridge fell to 1-13.

Jackson 25 25, Park Hills Central 22 15

Autumn Reid nailed 14 kills as the Indians swept the Rebels in straight sets on the road.

Hannah Hunt tallied eight kills for Jackson (11-4-1). Olivia Wendel added five kills, while Lexie King had nine digs for the Indians.

Park Hills Central dropped to 1-9-1 with the loss.

Perryville 25 18 25, Hillsboro 17 25 12

Brooke Hogard led with eight kills, seven digs and two aces as the Pirates avoided a scare from the Hawks in conference play at home.

Taylor Weber recorded three digs and two aces for Perryville (7-4, 3-0 JCAA Conference--Large Schools Division). Maci Hotop notched six digs and two kills for the Pirates.

Hillsboro fell to 4-3-1 overall and 1-1 in the conference.

Notre Dame 25 25, Advance 16 17

Abbie McAlister slammed 10 kills and served four aces as the Bulldogs remained hot with a sweep of the Hornets at home.

Briley Bieser added nine digs and six kills for Notre Dame (14-2-1). Lexi Welter and Allyson Jansen each had five kills apiece, and Maddie McClintock dished out 15 assists for the Bulldogs.

Advance fell to 11-5-2.

Dexter 25 25, Woodland 12 14

Dexter's Krysten Garrison accumulated 11 kills and six assists to lead the Bearcats in the conference victory at home.

Addie Kruse added four kills and three aces for Dexter (15-3-2, 3-0 SCAA Conference). Hannah Thurmon also had four kills, while Bailee Williams recorded eight assists and five digs for the Bearcats.

Krista Rhodes tallied six kills and five digs to lead Woodland (10-4-2, 1-1). Anna Deck notched eight digs, and Emma Rinacke had five digs and two kills. Madison Cover dished out 11 assists, and Kelsee Long contributed two blocks and two digs for the Cardinals.

FALL BASEBALL

Bell City 10, Leopold 0

The defending Class 1 state champion Cubs only needed six innings to dispose of the winless Wildcats in the road rout.

Bobby Wright was the winning pitcher and also tripled. He threw four innings and recorded 10 strikeouts to lead Bell City (7-1).

Ryan Lewis was the losing pitcher. He also threw four innings. He gave up seven runs (five earned).

Garrett Thele had a triple to record the only hit for Leopold (0-5).

De Soto's Alyssa Rennick belted a home run and a double and batted in two runs as the defending Class 3 state champion Dragons trounced the visiting Tigers in five innings.

Wiley Lowry went the distance in the circle to get the win for De Soto (9-2). She allowed one unearned run and recorded six strikeouts.

Krista Richardson hit two doubles and added two RBIs for the Dragons.

Maggie Boxdorfer sustained the loss for Cape Central (2-8). She pitched 2 1/3 innings and gave up nine runs (four earned) on eight hits. She walked two and had no strikeouts.

Morgan Duschell went 3 for 4 and drove in two runs.

Kylie Noe took the loss for Sikeston (5-9). She pitched a complete game and allowed seven earned runs.

Caitlyn Holmes also doubled, and Olivia Casey drove in three runs for the Rebels.

Sicily Johnston took the loss in the circle. She pitched a complete game and gave up four earned runs. She had one strikeout and one walk.

Sophie Wunderlich had a double and went 2 for 4 to pace Jackson (5-6).

Josh Scholl and Liam Gray netted two goals apiece to lead the Indians to victory over the Warriors in the suburban St. Louis area.

Justice Crosnoe recorded two assists and scored the other goal for Jackson (6-1). Grayson Ward also had two assists and Cam Christianson added one assist for the Indians.

Goalkeeper Brayden Emmons had four saves in the shutout.

Fox fell to 1-6 with the loss.

Sikeston 2, Saxony Lutheran 1

Sikeston's Sam Cox scored one goal and assisted on a goal by Dakota Ray as the Bulldogs edged the visiting Crusaders.

Jacob Wunderlich scored the lone goal on an assist from Joe Rubach for Saxony Lutheran (5-5-1).

Goalkeeper Jacob Stueve had 11 saves.

Sikeston upped its record to 4-6 with the win.

The Indians won two doubles matches after tieing the Knightettes in the singles to eke out the win on the road.
