Leopold's Ashley Nussbaum nailed seven kills and put up four blocks to help lead the top-seeded Wildcats to a 25-20, 25-15 sweep of second-seeded Meadow Heights to capture their fifth straight Mississippi Valley Conference volleyball tournament championship on Friday.

Emily Seiler added 10 digs and five kills for Leopold (13-12). Brittany Garland served two aces and notched 12 digs while Patience VanderMierden contributed 13 assists and three digs for the Wildcats.

The Panthers fell to 11-11-2 with the loss.

Third-seeded Zalma downed fourth-seeded Oak Ridge 25-12, 25-21 for third place. The Bulldogs improved to 8-13-1 with the win while Oak Ridge dropped to 3-19.

SCAA Tournament

Woodland's Krista Rhodes recorded five kills and three digs to pace the third-seeded Cardinals in the 25-20, 25-14 loss to top-seeded and two-time defending tournament champion Dexter as Woodland settled for second place in the Stoddard County Activities Association Conference Tournament.

Mackenzie Altenthal added two kills for Woodland (18-7-2). Whitney Lincoln dished out six assists while Madison Cover contributed three assists for the Cardinals. Chelsea Cureton notched 15 digs, and Kandyce Mifflin recorded five aces and three digs.

Dexter upped its record to 24-4-2 with the win.

Second-seeded Bernie topped fourth-seeded Advance 25-23, 25-10 to capture third place. The Mules improved to 17-8-2 while the Hornets fell to 15-10-2.

All-tournament honors were bestowed upon Dexter's Krysten Garrison, Hannah Thurmon and Bailee Williams; Bernie's Morgan Baker, Addie Shelton and Kayli Tanner; Woodland's Krista Rhodes and Chelsea Cureton; Advance's Alanis Below and Brylee Morse; and Bloomfield's Bailey Below and Jewel Chism.

Jackson 25 25, South Iron 16 16

Hannah Hunt nailed nine kills to lead the Indians in the sweep of the visiting Panthers.

Malary Burger dished out 14 assists for Jackson (16-9-1). Kali Beussink notched 11 digs for the Indians.

South Iron fell to 4-17-1 with the loss.

JV -- Jackson won 25-10.
