The fourth-seeded Kelly baseball eam scored 10 unanswered runs in the fifth and sixth innings to knock off fifth-seeded Charleston 13-4 in the opening round of the Class 3 District 2 tournament Saturday in Charleston, Missouri.
Sophomore Ty Householder picked up the win on the mound for Kelly. He pitched three innings and gave up three hits with two strikeouts and three walks.
Kyle Fitzgerald and Brenton James each hit a double for the Hawks (7-13).
Kelly will face top-seeded Scott City (13-11) at 2 p.m. Monday in a semifinal at Benny Hillhouse Memorial Park in Charleston, Mo.
Second-seeded Woodland (12-6) will take on third-seeded Clearwater (13-4) in the following semifinal at 4:30 p.m. The Tigers defeated sixth-seeded East Prairie 10-0 in Saturday's other quarterfinal to advance.

Chase Steffens and Dano Drury each went 2 for 3 at the plate, but the sixth-seeded Crusaders saw their season come to an end at the hands of third-seeded and state-ranked Bernie in the opening round of the Class 2 District 3 tournament on Friday in Bernie, Mo.
Conrad Bonney suffered the loss on the mound. He went the distance and gave up three earned runs on five hits with five strikeouts and three walks.
Saxony Lutheran finished the season with a record of 10-13.
Matt Vernon was the winning pitcher. He threw six scoreless innings and allowed five hits, struck out five and walked five.
Justin Stanfield hit a double and Josh Stevens went 2 for 3 at bat to lead the Mules (18-3).
Luke Haines went 4 for 4 at the plate with two runs scored and two runs driven in to lead the Bulldogs to victory over the Red Devils in the final regular-season game for both teams.
Graham Ruopp picked up the win on the mound for Notre Dame (21-3). He pitched six innings and gave up no earned runs on one hit, struck out 11 and walked none.
Devon Yahn had both of Chaffee's two hits to pace the Red Devils (20-3), who recently won the Scott-Mississippi Conference title.
Layton Tenkhoff took the loss on the mound. He threw three innings, allowed one earned run on three hits, walked two and struck out none.
Both Chaffee and Notre Dame are seeded first in their respective districts and will begin district play Monday.
