Hailey Kesler scored 20 points to lead the third-seeded Scott County Central girls basketball team to a 65-62 victory over fourth-seeded Woodland in the third-place game Thursday at the Delta New Year's Tournament.

Kesler scored the go-ahead bucket in transition to help the Bravettes squeeze out the win. She knocked down a key 3-pointer to put the Bravettes within one of the Cardinals at 60-59 with 1:37 left in the game.

Sophomore Johneisha Daniel added 14 points for Scott County Central (8-4), which trailed by three points at halftime. Maddison Avance tossed in 12 for the Bravettes, who rallied and outscored the Cardinals by six points in the second half to come away with the win.

Sophomore Krista Rhodes had a game-high 21 points to pace Woodland (8-4). Hannah Scott chipped in 16 points for the Cardinals.

In a battle of the tribes, fifth-seeded St. Vincent topped sixth-seeded Puxico 55-44 to win the consolation title.

Jenna Winkler netted 16 points and Jackie Verseman contributed 12 points for St. Vincent (8-4), which held a three-point lead at halftime on its way to victory.

Sophia Hancock sank a game-high 20 points for Puxico (5-5).

Mattison Cline scored 17 points as the host Red Devils crushed the Bulldogs.

Julia Sutterfield recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 assists for Chaffee (7-5). Katie Glueck also had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Red Devils, which posted a huge 45-16 lead at halftime and held the Bulldogs to single digits in the second half.

Loren Clifton notched 17 points to pace South Pemiscot (0-8).

Dylan Keller scored a game-high 38 points, including seven 3-pointers, to pace Scott City (5-6). Isiah Berry grabbed eight rebounds for the Rams.

Spencer Bragg finished with a game-high 21 points to lead the Panthers in the high-fouling conference victory at home over the Tigers.

Lane Baremore tallied 15 points, and Jacob Douglas contributed 11 points for Meadow Heights (8-3, 4-0 Mississippi Valley Conference). The Panthers held a 16-point lead at halftime and outscored the Tigers by eight points in the second half on their way to the win. Both teams combined for 47 fouls.

The Bulldogs struggled shooting the basketball and gave the Eagles too many free looks from the charity stripe as Notre Dame fell on the road in Nixa, Missouri.

Nixa attempted 33 free throws, hitting 17. The Eagles were paced by Chase Allen's 18 points, while Garrett Bacon scored 10.
