The Kelly baseball team bounced back from a lopsided loss to hand Central an 8-3 loss Wednesday.
The Hawks dropped a 12-1 decision to St. Vincent on Tuesday, but rebounded for the win over the Tigers.
"I'm almost speechless," Kelly coach Nate Wills said. "I don't know what to expect. We can come out and play as good as anybody or we can come out and play as bad as anybody else. Day to day, I wish I could put my finger on what it is that makes us click.
"One of the things that makes us click is that we almost need to face adversity before we break through. We need to have errors and not be able to hit the ball in order to play and be able to re-focus. We're only at our best when things have to be at our worst. It beats anything I've ever seen."
Levi Felter pitched a complete game to earn the win. He struck out two and walked four. He also went 2-for-4 with a double.
Ethan Lee went 2-for-3, including a triple, in the win.
