Jackson freshman Sophie Wunderlich struck out 10 batters and allowed just three hits as the Jackson softball team blanked host Sikeston 6-0 on Monday.
Wunderlich did not walk a batter in going the distance.
Melanie Dockins provided all the run support Wunderlich would need with a two-run double in the third inning. Dockins finished with three RBIs.
Kayla Keith, Mallorie Maintz and Kaylie Speakman all had two hits for Jackson (8-11).

Aubrianna Jones made a first-inning run hold up as she limited host Portageville to three hits.
Addie Kielhofner scored the game's lone run after reaching on a single. She stole second, went to third on a bunt and scored on Chrissy Sauceda's ground ball.
Sauceda had two doubles, while Tatum May and Jamie Kern both had a pair of singles for the Eagles (9-3).
Jones struck out seven batters and walked two.

The Dragons scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to edge the visiting Crusaders.
Ashley Steck and Abby Hadler both had two hits for Saxony Lutheran (11-5). Steck and Kelli Brunke both had a double.
Brunke pitched all seven innings and took the loss. She gave up 10 hits, walked seven and struck out three.

Ashtyn Hudson had five kills for Advance (8-8-2), while Allie Below had seven assists.
