Autumn Reid hammered 13 kills, served seven aces and had five digs to lead Jackson to a 25-8, 25-10 road win over rival Cape Central on Tuesday in volleyball action.

Hannah Hunt added nine kills for Jackson (7-3, 1-1 SEMO Conference). Kali Beussink notched nine digs, and Malary Burger recorded 20 assists and seven digs for the Indians.

The Tigers fell to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in the conference.

JV -- Jackson won 25-13, 23-25, 25-18

Ste. Genevieve 25 13 25, Notre Dame 16 25 14

Notre Dame's Abbie McAlister put down 11 kills, but it was not enough as the Dragons dealt some revenge to the Bulldogs in the three-set road win.

Lexi Welter tallied 12 digs and nine kills for Notre Dame (6-2-1). Marianna Below added 12 digs for the Bulldogs, who defeated the Dragons 25-22, 25-20 in pool play over the weekend at the Notre Dame VolleyballFest.

"I knew that Ste. Genevieve was gonna be a good team," Notre Dame coach Tara Stroup said. "...I don't know. It seems like every season there's 'that' game. You just can't really explain it. They come out and they're all kinda off at the same time. ...We're just gonna have to move on and get ready for the SEMO tournament [St. Francis Dig for Life Challenge] this weekend."

Sam Feeney dished out 26 assists and Sam Brennan had 15 digs for the Bulldogs.

Ste. Genevieve improved to 5-2-2 with the victory.

Zalma 25 25, Oak Ridge 16 14

Jenny Pullam recorded four kills, three aces and two digs to lead the Bulldogs to their first conference win of the season in a sweep of the visiting Blue Jays.

Lacie VanGennip tallied two kills and two aces for Zalma (4-4, 1-0 Mississippi Valley Conference). Tiffany Clark notched three digs and Kelsee Montgomery dished out seven assists for the Bulldogs.

Oak Ridge dropped to 1-7 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

Leopold 25 25, Oran 16 16

Emily Seiler tallied five kills, four aces and two blocks to lead the Wildcats to the win at home.

Klara Beel recorded five kills, two aces and two blocks for Leopold (2-4). Ashley Nussbaum had six blocks and four kills, and Patience VanderMierden added 13 assists and three digs for the Wildcats.

MacKenzie Graviett had two kills and one ace for Oran (1-3).

JV -- Oran won 25-13, 25-11

Perryville 25 25, Windsor 11 9

Hannah Layton nailed 10 kills and notched two digs as the Pirates swept the Owls on the road.

Maci Hotop recorded three digs and two aces, and Kayla Buxton dished out 12 assists for Perryville (5-4, 1-0 Jefferson County Activities Association Conference--Large Schools Division), which rebounded after a tough weekend in the Notre Dame VolleyballFest that dealt the Pirates four consecutive losses.

Windsor fell to 2-6-1 overall and 0-1 in the JCAA Conference.

JV -- Perryville won 25-5, 25-7

Woodland 25 25, Saxony Lutheran 18 16

Krista Rhodes slammed 10 kills and had five digs as the Cardinals remained undefeated with the road sweep.

Shelby Sawyer recorded 13 digs and two kills for Woodland (7-0-2), while Chelsea Cureton also had 13 digs. Madison Cover tallied six assists and three digs, and Anna Deck contributed nine assists and four digs. Emma Rinacke had two kills, two digs, three assists and two aces for the Cardinals.

Saxony Lutheran dropped to 4-3-2.

JV -- Saxony Lutheran won 25-13, 25-9

Kennett 20 25 25, Scott City 25 13 16

Hannah Shemonia tallied 16 digs and five kills in the Rams' three-set conference loss at home.

Kaleigh Dirden put up three blocks for Scott City (0-6, 0-2 SEMO Conference).

Kennett improved to 3-3 overall and 3-0 in the SEMO Conference.

FALL BASEBALL

Oran 18, Leopold 3

Drew Reischman blasted a triple and drove in four runs as the undefeated Eagles erupted for 10 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to trounce the visiting Wildcats.

Preston Hahn went the distance on the mound to get the win for Oran (5-0). He allowed three earned runs, struck out six and walked one.

Clay Sauceda went 2 for 4 at the plate and batted in six runs for the Eagles.

Tristan Graham took the loss for Leopold (0-2). He pitched three innings and gave up 11 runs (six earned) on 10 hits. He walked two and struck out none.

McKynlee Neumeyer hit a triple and drove in three runs to lead the Hawks in the five-inning win at home over the Indians.

Anna Hughes was the winning pitcher. She threw a complete game and recorded four strikeouts for Kelly (6-2).

Danielle Roberts sustained the loss. She went the distance, struck out three and walked four to pace Puxico (1-5).

Notre Dame 4, Poplar Bluff 2

The Bulldogs broke a fifth-inning tie with a two-out rally to clinch the win on the road.

Payton Friga reached third base on a throwing error and Morgan Duschell following with an infield hit, beating the throw from the shortstop as Friga scored.

Notre Dame (8-1) stole two runs in the first when Morgan Duschell led off with a walk, stole second and then third, scoring when the throw ended up down the line. Madison Landeros scored the same way, after a one-out walk.

Poplar Bluff (6-5) tied it in the bottom of the first.

Haylie Santos struck out four, walked two and allowed three hits and an unearned run in seven innings for the win.

Sievers struck out 10 and allowed four hits and four walks while three of Notre Dame's runs were unearned.

Cape Central's Sydney Tollison recorded three RBIs, including the walk-off run that scored Calleigh Huffman to lead the Tigers to the come-from-behind win at home over the Bulldogs.

Brooke Anderson was the winning pitcher. She threw 3 1/3 innings and gave up three unearned runs on three hits. She had four strikeouts and no walks and also batted in two runs for the Tigers.

Kylie Lane went 4 for 6 with a triple for Cape Central (2-6), while Jenna Johnson had two RBIs.

Kylie Noe sustained the loss in the circle for Sikeston (3-7). She pitched 6 2/3 innings and allowed 15 runs (seven earned) on 16 hits. She had eight strikeouts and walked three.

Hanna Placek hit a double and Jorgia Aters drove in three runs for the Bulldogs.

Sikeston's P.J. Kennard scored the game-winning goal to lead the Bulldogs in the road win.

Sam Cox added two goals and one assist for Sikeston (3-5). Matthew Menz added one goal for the Bulldogs.

Danny Cruz had one goal on an assist from Logan Hunt for Cape Central (2-6). Bennett Osborn netted the other goal for the Tigers.

Goalkeeper Spencer Kidd made 13 saves.

JV -- Tied 1-1

Jackson 4, Farmington 3 (PKs)

Goalkeeper Brayden Emmons had the shutout as the Indians dealt the Knights their first loss in penalty kicks on the road.

Jackson improved to 4-1 while Farmington fell to 4-1-2.

GIRLS TENNIS

Cape Central 5, Poplar Bluff 4

A forfeit by Poplar Bluff's Kailee Kanell in the singles match gave the Tigers the win at home over the Mules.

Cape Central improved to 4-2 while Poplar Bluff fell to 1-5.
