The Jackson girls tennis team continued its strong play this season by rolling past rival Central 9-0 on Wednesday in Jackson.
Jackson dropped just 11 games in improving to 6-0.
Jenny Powell at No. 1, Katelyn Kuppart at No. 4 and Laina Marble at No. 6 all posted 8-0 shutouts in singles.
Jackie McNally and Lucy Kunz recorded a 6-0, 6-0 whitewash at No. 3 doubles.

Logan Sprandel scored two goals to lead Saxony Luterheran to a victory over host Festus at the Festus tournament.
Anthony Etzold also scored for the Crusaders.
Hunter Coe and Brandon Fritsche both had one assist. Zach Beal made six saves in goal to record the shutout.
Murphysboro Invitational
Notre Dame opened its season with victories by the boys and girls in the ‘A' Division of the Illinois meet.
Notre Dame's boys prevailed among 15 squads, winning by 55 points.
The Bulldogs took the top two individual spots, with Michael Nelson first and Cole Ross second. All seven Notre Dame runners were in the top 15.
Notre Dame's girls won its 10-team meet by 16 points. Breanna Conklin placed second and set a school record in the 5-kilometer race with a time of 20 minutes, 47 seconds.

The Bulldogs posted a 355 total to defeat Valley View in an 18-hole contest at the Thunder Bayou Golf Course in Blytheville, Ark.
Amy Blattel led Notre Dame with an 88. Morgan Schumer, Mattie Beussink and Camille Brewer all shot 89.

Notre Dame claimed a five-inning home rout for its third straight victory.
Alexis Burnette pitched a three-hitter. She received offensive support from Maria Layton, Kayce Landewee, Jessica Westrich and Carson Freeman, who all tripled.
