All the scores from Friday that were reported to the Southeast Missourian

Montana Adams and Jenny Powell thought they were ahead of schedule when they qualified for the Class 2 state tennis tournament.

The Jackson pair lost their opening match Friday, but rebounded to win their first match in the consolation bracket. Powell and Adams then were eliminated in the consolation quarterfinals.

Powell and Adams fell to Lee's Summit West's Emelia Andres and Brandi Vollmer 6-2, 6-1 in their opening match, which kicked them into the consolation bracket.

The two Jackson sophomores rebounded to defeat Parkway North's Jessica Greenberg and Emily Dunlop McCarter 7-5, 6-4.

Powell and Adams wrapped up their state tournament with a 7-5, 6-2 loss to Kathryn Skorijia and Brooke Barnard of Park Hill.

Powell and Adams only started playing together this season and finished the season 19-7.

FOOTBALL

Valle Catholic 57, St. Vincent 8

St. Vincent's hopes of making the Class 1 football playoffs ended with its lopsided road loss.

The Indians fell into a 31-0 hole in the opening quarter and never recovered.

Alex Winkler scored the Indians' lone touchdown on a 61-yard carry in the fourth quarter.

Lucas Janet had two carries for 33 yards, while Mitchell Presnell had two carries for 2 yards.

Taylor Sauer was 4 of 11 for 49 yards and two interceptions, while Trent Elder was 2 of 7 for 32 yards and two interceptions.

Ryan Boxdorfer caught four passes for 49 yards, while Nathan Comte caught one for 8 yards. Winker added one for 24 yards.

Boxdorfer led the Indians in tackles, followed by Sauer.

Farmington 43, Perryville 7

The Pirates' hopes of making the Class 4 playoffs evaporated with their home loss. They finish the season Thursday when they host Central.

Clayton Invitational

The Oak Ridge boys took fifth place out of 20 teams with a score of 163.

Ethan Seyer paced Oak Ridge by finishing 13th in 17 minutes, 19.29 seconds.
